The McGuffin Brothers was founded in 2008 as an independent consultancy in media production and post-production operations.

Alongside Media management and delivery, Quality Assurance has always been a core activity with many years of experience processing broadcast deliverables (DPP) for major platforms worldwide including Sky, Channel 4, Disney, Discovery and the BBC.
VIDEO POST PRODUCTION
Other post-production activities have included digital film restoration, specialist editing services to artists working with video. Clients include The Tate Gallery, The National Portrait Gallery and several world-renowned artists. We also offer pre-delivery QC service, running parallel to the acquisition/editing process to ensure that content is to specification and will be ready to deliver.
EYEBALL QC
In an increasingly automated environment The McGuffin Brothers are able to offer efficient and accurate Eyeball QC services as well as provide Harding PSE tests and Vidcheck auto QC reports.
FACILITIES
McGuffin Brothers is also equipped with the latest technology to provide broadcast 4k, HDR &HD and full 5.1 surround monitoring. With a calibrated 4k monitor and Telestream WVR8300 to interrogate video signals and monitor loudness.

Tim has provided outstanding service to me on multiple projects for both large media corporations and small indie producers and distributors. I first met Tim at the Tate when he provided tech support for the installation of ‘First Woman on the Moon’ at the Tate Modern. This was effectively a restoration job, which involved forensically identifying and resolving issues using the source tapes and hunting down vintage text fonts to rebuild and complete the credit roller. He has subsequently provided tech support, editing and short film production on several of my projects. These include a mammoth After Effects edit, a short promotional film for ‘Space Tapestry’ as well as editing the short film of ‘Antarctica’ which led him essentially producing a live performance event based on the text material I had created that project. He is particularly adept at bringing his technical resources sensitively into the domain of the artist.
